Primetime Series Seeks Bride and Groom

ABC News Primetime is producing a fun segment that will show what happens when two handsome, charming and fun gentlemen, claiming to be long-lost relatives, crash a wedding reception.  We see them chatting up the bridesmaids, enjoying the buffet, and getting down with the flower girls on the dance floor.  They are the life of the party, but when it’s discovered that they are not who they claim, how does the mother/ father of the bride react?  In a segment sure to resonate with anyone who has had a guest crash a party, we ask:  “What Would You Do?”

In a unique ABC News series that has redefined traditional television newsmagazines and captured the nation with its inventive portrayal of real-life scenarios, Primetime’s “What Would You do?” (http://abcnews.go.com/primetime) attempts to reveal what people will really do when confronted with a dilemma that requires instant decision-making.

PrimeTime’s crew of videographers, dressed in tuxedoes, as well as hidden cameras strategically placed throughout the venue, will capture the festive reception, the entrance of our wedding crashers, and their mixing and mingling with other wedding attendees.

Once the scene has played out, the bride and groom will reveal that the “long-lost relatives” are indeed actors hired by Primetime to portray wedding crashers. Primetime producers, along with ABC News’ Emmy Award-winning correspondent John Quinones, will introduce themselves to the participants and ask them, when faced with “long-lost relatives” whom you do not  know, do you react with cynicism or open arms?   What Would You Do?
